God the Father began it all.
Angels, creatures – great and small
Then came man – God breathed a soul.
Satan’ s lie soon took its toll.
Adam and Eve left the Promised Land.
And man’s journey back to God began.
Ten Commandments and a promise too,
That a Savior would come for me and for you.
God knew that Mary would be the one
To faithfully say “yes” and bear His Son.
She carried Jesus and He showed the way
To live and love – the Otche Nash He prayed.
By John He was baptized; the Holy Spirit made Him strong.
Because of these signs, to the Church we belong.
Jesus did His work in miraculous ways
Turned water into wine, and walked on the waves.
He also chose twelve to be His first priests.
And spoke the sacred words to use in the feast.
The power to anoint, to forgive and receive
Holy Orders to give Food to all who believe.
Within hours of the supper, Jesus would die
Suffer on the cross – He was crucified.
Three days later, His Body gone.
Khrystos Voskres was the people’s song.
We learned to love the Lord this year.
And as the day of First Penance draws near.
By the grace of God and the Spirit too,
Father Ron will make our souls brand new.
One with Jesus, chosen to be
A child of God for all of eternity.
