I am reclaiming my creativity,
Learning from the best,
Little children playing intentionally,
Giving perspective to my mess.
Where they clearly contrast my seasoned story,
Make me rethink how I pick and choose.
Could it be that the more I actually do,
The more of me I lose?
The moments that have become past tense,
Play-time that I’ve sadly missed,
Watching them closely - the lessons learned,
“Being” is no longer a dying wish.
For the person I was born to be,
Became captured by gray age.
I am excited to say that I found a new way,
To break out of this hand-made cage.
No worries about what others will think,
Unafraid to dance in the street,
Living the moment - my personal dream,
Unmoved by a list to complete.
The creative me will play, sing and rhyme,
Teach, if that is God’s plan,
Allowing the Spirit to move through me,
Living carefree with the great I AM!
