"When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude." G. K. Chesterton

Muddled By My Master

He is silently creating,
Giving chance for wonder full new life.
Outside.  Inside.
Stirring serenity into strife.

It is amazing that He can do His work,
Even if darkness has its way.
Blinding sight of the peace He offers
As a gift to me each day.

When hope is dashed and emotions high,
The war inside begins.
Two opponents battling hard,
Working overtime to win.

Satan’s script is fake and frail,
Unless I use my mind,
To empower his defeating lies,
God’s hand is then hard to find.

But all along the Master works,
Moving mountains and parting seas.
Making ways to see the truth,
So that the Father of Lies soon flees.

God has the view of what can be,
If I faithfully follow His will,
Use my power for good choices,
Feeling His presence as I learn to be still.

So muddle away, dear Master.
Mix me up as you please.
For I have faith in Your mercy and grace,
My salvation  - a guarantee!
