Hard knocks on your door, deafening to the core -
Keeping your spirit down.
But I have seen it before; it’s what I adore -
When your determination is finally found.
It’s time to defeat this ugly pain, to take the path of virtuous gain -
So that misery falls to grace.
While free will offers a deadly choice, listen well to His glorious voice -
So that you find a more peaceful place.
Begin with your heart beating to a drum, of gratitude for being the chosen one -
To teach your world how to rise above.
Lifting heavy worldly weights to humbly place at heaven’s gates -
So that you are free to accept His love.
This is a fight that goes into the deep,
where you tirelessly work, and faith takes a leap -
Across a canyon that is awfully grand.
But miracles happen every day; the power of God is the proven way -
Simply by taking His hand.
And never letting go, living what you have come to know -
Things of this world matter not.
It is the glory that comes with trust in Him,
of losing yourself to the Spirit within,
And finding redemption when you answer His knock.
