"When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude." G. K. Chesterton

The Most Holy Trinity

Today we learned about the Most Holy Trinity, and how we honor the three Persons in one God every time we bless ourselves to make the Sign of the Cross.  As a family, practice blessing yourselves remembering to :

(1)  Use your right hand.
(2)  Clasp your three fingers together.
(3)  Touch your forehead while saying, "In the name of the Father", then touch your chest saying, "and the Son", then your right and your left shoulder, accordingly while saying, "and the Holy-Spirit."
(4) Bring your hands together to say "Amen".

Activity:  Talk about how this simple prayer honors the cross on which Jesus Christ died for our sins.  Read Matthew 27:32-61.
Then go to http://www.sundayschoolkids.com/activities-lent-easter/1-magic-cross-instru.htm and have some fun making a cross our of paper without using any scissors.
