One Month Count Down

I trust you had a glorious Easter and that you are aware of the short time we have remaining to help our Solemn Holy Communion Candidates cross the finish line in their preparation to receive First Penance on Saturday, May 12 and Solemn Holy Communion on Mother's Day. I know it gets difficult as the weather gets warmer, and we get tempted to turn our attention elsewhere. But please remain enthusiastic and your child will follow your lead.

Let me call your attention to the Sacramental Preparation Handbook link located under the Second Grade Student Material on the right sidebar. (Please see me if you prefer a paper copy.) This resource is the perfect reference tool for you to be aware of what is to come, and to use in helping ensure your child is comfortable with what is required of them as they near these special days. Additional information regarding our First Penance Service will be forthcoming.

Tomorrow, weather permitting, we will head up to church to practice going to confession. I always like when we can do our work in God's house. It is such a beautiful, safe and holy place. See you soon!
