Our First Class Was the BEST!

I am so disappointed with myself that I neglected to take any pictures this morning, but time flies when you are having fun! I promise to do better next time.

We had a blast with our Beach Ball Toss as we worked on getting to know each other. Here are some facts that I remember:

If he could pick a super hero power, Matteo would want to be strong, while I want to be able to read minds. We all agreed that if this were true, they would have to think twice when they came to class! Haha

Rylee wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.  She also has a friend that looks just like her at her regular school; Faith does not like brussel sprouts, and has a 100 year old grandmother who lives in a nursing home; Greenly has a BFF named Summer; Ari-Anna's best friend is Snow.  Cheetahs are her favorite animal because of their spots; Ms. Paul likes cats; Matte and Addison want us to remember them as "not knowing what they want us to remember about them!", and Ali likes to pray and (I think) prefers the color blue.

Trust me!  With all that we had going on this morning, I feel pretty good about this list, especially if I remembered correctly.

I am curious to see what your child would have to say about this post. Feel free to comment, if they have anything they would like to correct or add.

As far as our discussion about God the Father goes, it was absolutely delightful. Without exception, they were curious, thoughtful and engaged in the discussion.

Our class is well on its way to learning the "Our Father", such that when praying it, they understand what they are saying.

I have to work on my timing, as we did not complete the reinforcement activity, but with having heard Matte say, "Class can't be over yet!  It feels like we just got here!", I am tempted to call this class the best yet!

They are a wonderful, well-mannered group of children; both Ms. Paul and I are blessed to have the opportunity to teach them.

Next week we will work on the Holy Trinity and the Sign of the Cross.

See you soon!

Mrs. Plush 💛
