2017 Autumn Children's Liturgy & Thanksgiving Food Drive

God is good all the time!
On Sunday, November 19, 2017 we will gather as a church family for our annual Thanksgiving Children's Divine Liturgy and Food Drive.  I am asking two things: (1) that you mark your calendar now and promise to come and worship with Father Ronny, and (2) that you use this as a teachable moment by speaking to your child about the importance of living with a grateful heart and thinking about the many ways in which God has blessed them. Then move the discussion to the recognition that there are people less fortunate than you for many reasons, including those who, at times, struggle to put food on their tables. Some of these families are actually in our own parish. This fact will give them some context as to why we are gathering on the 19th, and may prompt them to get more involved with the actual selection of the food items that they will carry as their Thanksgiving offering.
For more detailed information on this event, please see a letter from Professor George Maxim under the "From the Principal" tab above.  As always, thank you for your support of our Sunday school program.

Gratefully yours,
Mrs. Plush
